Railway agent in Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee from the early 1900s until his retirement in 1958. Worked for Virginia and Southwestern Railway Company in St. Charles, Va., and for Southern Railway in Church Hill, Tenn., and Keokee and Gate City, Va.
